What is BlinkMeNot

BlinkMeNot Prevents the loss of your current target when a player changes gear by temporarily blocking gear changes.

This will greatly help enhancing and healing jobs who frequently lose targets due to equipment swaps of their current target.

Upon detargetting said person, the players equipment will automatically update to what it should of been that was blocked.

Usage

BlinkMeNot can be loaded by opening your Windower console and typing load blinkmenot or typing //load blinkmenot into the game chat.

You can see the command list by typing //bmn into chat.

Modes

BlinkMeNot has 3 block types: Current target, When in combat, and Always.

Each of these settings have a self, party, ally, others and target options, allowing you to specify enabling or disabling the protection. Some users wish to always see themselves blink, so disabling all self protections will never block your own model updates.

BlinkMeNot also includes protection for the person you are currently following. This protection can not be disabled.

Commands

All of these commands function as toggles when a value is not speficied

Command Value Description
always self <on/off> - Prevents blinking of yourself completely.
always party <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your party completely.
always ally <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your alliance completely.
always others <on/off> - Prevents blinking of other players completely.
always follow <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your follow target completely.
combat self <on/off> - Prevents blinking of yourself while in combat.
combat party <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your party while in combat.
combat ally <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your alliance while in combat.
combat others <on/off> - Prevents blinking of other players while in combat.
combat follow <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your follow target while in combat.
target self <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your current target of yourself.
target party <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your current target of your party.
target ally <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your current target of your alliance.
target others <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your current target of another player.
target follow <on/off> - Prevents blinking of your current target of your follow target.

There is one other command that functions differently than the others. That command is bmn <HEX number> that will allow you to set several values at once. For instance doing BMN 0x76df will set the following

combat self:On party:On ally:On others:On follow:On
target self:On party:On ally:On others:On follow:On
always self:On party:Off ally:Off others:Off follow:On

The default values for bmn 0x76d9 which is the following

combat self:On party:On ally:On others:On follow:On
target self:Off party:On ally:On others:On follow:On
always self:Off party:Off ally:Off others:Off follow:On

this allows you to set up BMN how you want it and then just use 1 command to get it back to that state since there is currently no way to save the settings. To find the hex number simply set up BMN how you want whenever a value is change bmn will report the current settings along with a hex number that you can use to return to those settings. Valid values are 0 - 7FFF

Typing 'bmn 0×0' or 'bmn 0' will turn ALL settings off, however if you're trying to do that, just use 'bmn disable' instead to keep your settings active, but just disable blocking temporarily.

you can also use bmn enable/disable to enable or disable the plugin without losing your current settings

Idea and original implementation was thought of and created by Taj, then Aikar completely rewrote it and made it into a much more usable implementation that was ready for release. Since Aikar has stopped playing Yekyaa has taken over maintaining this plugin.
