INTRODUCTION This is a text document I created to help everyone that is tired of having their email accounts filled with spam. As I'm sure many people know that the “unsubscribe” link doesn't always work and most of the time just results in you getting even more spam by trying to unsubscribe. Well, If you are a victum of this there is still hope for you and there is no reason to close your primary email address.

OVERVIEW Due to the growing problem of spam abuse the US goverment made an organization to help battle this SPAM abuse problem. It took me quite a while of research to find this information but I have tried these methods myself and after a week of reporting the abuse my SPAM count went from 15 SPAM emails a day to 1 or less a day.

THE SOLUTION To report SPAM abuse all you need to do is forward ALL the spam emails in question to this email address.

THE PROCESS Say for example you try using the unsubscribe link and it only results in you getting even more SPAM email as what happened in my case. What I did was forward all the SPAM I received for that day and forward all the SPAM emails into one email to the SPAM@UCE.GOV email address. I put the Subject as “Remove Link results in more SPAM” and left the message body blank with just the forwarded SPAM messages enclosed.

You may also use this email address to report SPAM that provides a “broken” unsubscribe link that I have also encountered while trying to remove my email from the mailing list. If this be your case just use the Subject “Broken Unsubscribe link”.

CONCLUSION When you start using this method to reduce your SPAM, I have to tell you that you will not see immediate results. Each email the agency recieves has to be processed and usually takes a week or two for the “Spam Bots” to be traced and taken down. Just be persistent and keep sending them your daily SPAM you recieve and you will eventually receive 0 SPAM a day just like I am now.
