What is Precognition
Precognition is a real time Shadow Counter similiar to other applications such as UtsuWatch. Precognition currently tracks Utsusemi and Blink, but not Aerial Armor.
Why is Precognition Better?
Precognition uses a lower level information source from FFXI. This level of information is received a lot faster than parsing a chat log. Precognition will notify you of shadow loss BEFORE you even see the animation, let alone the chat log.
Precognition can be up to 2-3 SECONDS faster than all other Shadow Counters that work off of chat log parsing. Precognition simply does it all better and quicker.
Also, Precognition does not require the chat filter to be turned off. You may filter the chat as you please and Precognition will continue to work.
What's planned for Precognition
It is planned to add the ability to track nearby party and alliance members shadow counts also. This will enable players to see when a tank is about run out of shadows and assist them with spells such as Stun and Flash.
